What spoolgun to use on a MM 200 - Regency 200 with a 4 pin spoolgun plug if you dont have a Spoolmate 1 ?
A day late and a dollar short but you can also use a slightly more available Spoolmatic 3 on the older 4-pin MM200. The Spoolmatic 3 has a 14-pin connector and was released to work on the later version MM200 (JJ407380 and later) that incorporated a 14-pin spoolgun plug (and slighly different internal circuitry) rather than the earlier 4-pin . To use a Spoolmatic 3 on the earlier MM200 you have two options.
1) Use the $100 Miller part number 042236 14-pin to 4 -pin adapter cord per the Miller spoolgun hook-up chart http://www.millerwelds.com/products/…gun-chart.html.
2) Replace the Spoolmatic 3 14-pin plug with a $15 4-pin (Amphenol #97-3106A-18-4P) following the plug terminal assignment bellow:
MM200/RC3 ‘A’ to SM3 Red
MM200/RC3 ‘B’ to SM3 White
MM200/RC3 ‘D’ to SM3 Black
Option 3) would be to use the most readily available WC24 controller, 042236 adapter cord and current Spoolmatic 15A or 30A but this would also be the most expensive option by far.
Option 3) You can hook up a Miller 3035 or 3545 spoolgun and a SGA 100 adapter box
Option 4) Hook up a Spoolmate 100 and wire in the miller switch kit 300409 .
